• Pythagoras, born in 570 BC, is known for many things - he first postulated the spherical nature of earth, first discovered Venus, was the founder of an entire belief system of mathematical genius, and was a key influence on Plato and Aristotle…. Yet for Collins, it is one factor that rises above all others.
  
  Pythagoras was the first person to call himself a philosopher - from the Greek "Philo" meaning "Love" and the "Sophos" meaning "Wisdom."
  
  From our birth, we set out to acquire knowledge… our first colors, the touch of a leaf, the warmth of the Sun.
  
  For Collins, the key to joy in life is to approach this yearning for knowledge through the eyes of a child… to have that excitement of something new. Each new thing being profound. Each new moment as special.
